Its remarquable quality was famous woldwilde, as all european royal courts ordered silk from Lyon. The frensh authority supported the silk workers through huge orders.
Its know-how have suffered from the international concurrence but museums and associations want to remind us the story in old workshops.
This history has marked its inhabitants' memories and Lyon's identity.
